Culinary delights

We cook for our guests four times a week with regional and fresh dishes – typical tapas, trendy bowls or Arabic specialities. We use, as far as possible, local produce from sustainable or organic farmers . The ‘Farm to Table’ concept- directly from the producer to our table – ensures fresh, delicious dishes and this way we also promote local farmers and producers. Olive oil, fruit, avocados, honey or eggs, everything comes from Andalusia. Our beef and chicken come from our local butcher’s own farm and our selection of fish is quality fish fresh from the sea. Our goal is to offer good food of the best quality and to be as transparent as possible. This is how we promote and live the Slow Food principle.

Desayunooooohhh: We love breakfast. It is the most beautiful meal of the day for us. That’s why you’ll find everything on your breakfast table for a perfect start to the day: freshly ground roasted coffee with frothy milk , homemade bread and spreads , Overnight Quinoa Bowl with summer berries and delicious smoothies. Organic eggs in various variations, cheese, herbal ham and other local treats are always waiting for you in the morning. We also pick avocados fresh from the trees in the Rancho Garden and oranges too to serve you as freshly squeezed juice.

Slow Food

For us Slow Food ought to be as much as possible local and organic. We grow most of the vegetables ourselves, our chickens delight us almost daily with fresh eggs and we make our own bread . For this we use freshly ground grain from the organic shop in the village. For our cuisine we use the very best ingredients we can find – preferably organic, preferably from the region and always particularly aromatic. Our evening dinners are created around fresh plant-based ingredients enhanced with fresh herbs, as well as a selection of meat or fish. We promise you a surprising taste experience!

Veggie Catering

On request we will make to order a selection of delicious vegetarian dishes – these will delight not only our vegetarian and vegan guests but will no doubt tempt many confirmed carnivores ! Who needs animal-based produce when we have so many delicious plant-based ingredients on our doorstep – regional produce and also superfoods – acai and maca berries and more …. Organic produce and sustainable cuisine is the base of our food-preparation at the Rancho – we are delighted to offer you a wide selection of meals throughout your stay. Whatever the occasion we can prepare for you and your guests/group a gourmet picnic, a vegetarian barbecue or a special buffet – leave it with us! Or could it be just a business lunch, a special wedding anniversary party or a birthday celebration – we will make it memorable !

In the cooler months dinner is served around the open fire in the Bodega. Enjoy Karl’s gourmet specialities and let Barbara suggest a wine from the surrounding regions to accompany your dinner.
We have a wide selection of organic wines in our Cellar.

These wines are particularly pure and natural – from the vineyard to the bottle there have been no additives or modern oenological technology to alter the true taste of the wine. The result is a unique taste experience that is particularly appreciated by wine connoisseurs.

A selection of gift items are also available in the Bodega boutique – olive oil, handmade goods and pottery .

Karl always cooks fresh and creates culinary delights that will enchant your taste buds. But don’t ask him for the recipe, because he is a ‘freestyler’ and has the spices practically on his tongue.

Now it’s getting too colorful for us!
Every single plate glows with bright colors and the entire rainbow opens up to you throughout a whole menu. With each dish, the iridescent rainbow becomes clearer – strong and intense colors match the aromas of the dishes, the aromas of the basic products, the herbs and spices. Every day Karl lovingly dishes up colorful surprises. With us, new herb-rich variations are created again and again with fun and dedication, often also hearty non-meat dishes .
Karl’s cuisine, which occasionally also offers vegan dishes, is characterized by natural affinity and ingredients mostly from his own organic vegetable garden, daring new culinary paths, new vegan trends and cooking cravings. Karl is constantly testing new flavors.
The vegan cuisine at Rancho is exciting, challenging to the palate and promises pure pleasure when eating.
