The nearest airport to Gibraltar is only 45 minutes. Malaga (1.5 hours) and Jerez de la Frontera (1.5 hours). Seville is 2 hours from Rancho.
We definitely recommend a rental car, preferably an all-terrain one, since our driveway is a gravel road, and you have to cross a small river for the last stretch. There is also a train station in Estación de Jimena, from there you can go to Ronda, but you are independent by car and can easily explore the beautiful area around us.
Check-in is from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., check-out is at 11 a.m. We ask you to let us know your arrival time in advance, so that we can be sure to be there for you personally. You are welcome to check in later by arrangement, earlier is unfortunately not possible.
Here is how to get there:
Please enter the following coordinates into your GPS: Latitude: 36.4314354 Longitude: -5.4463332
For directions using Apple and Google Maps, search “Holistic Hotel Rancho Los Lobos”. Please do not be surprised, the journey is a bit adventurous.
In good weather: Coming from the coast on the A-405 at km 24 turn left onto the gravel road, you cross a small river bed and at the end of the path turn right along the railway tracks. Immediately after the level crossing, the second gate on the left is the main entrance to our hotel.
In case of heavy rain you have to keep going until the village of Jimena de la Frontera and at the top of the village at the 'Cuenca' restaurant turn left onto Calle Pasada de Alcalá. Always follow the road and at the end over an iron bridge directly into the nature park. At the goatherd (corner property with lots of animals on the street) leave the paved road and continue straight ahead. Follow the course of the gravel road until it makes a sharp right-hand bend, take this bend and on the right-hand side, shortly after a right turn (do not drive in) you will see our hotel.
Breakfast is included in every room. We can prepare lunchboxes if you order them in the morning. Karl cooks three or four times a week a 3- course menu. It is served normally on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday during high-season (April-October). In our teakitchen you can store little bits in the fridge and prepare tea or coffee. In the oven you can heat up something.
We have mountain bikes for hire at the hotel, if you want e-bikes we will be happy to organize some for you.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate dogs, but if you need a cuddle, you are more than welcome to cuddle our two dogs, Pepperoni and Krishna.
YES, but unheated. It is maintained from April to October.
We are in the middle of the nature reserve and partly use solar power. Our inverters for cooling the rooms therefore only run at certain times in the summer months. Please be considerate of each other and remember that we do not have unlimited electricity. Thank you!
Our hotel is adult-friendly, young people from the age of 16 are very welcome to spend their holidays with us.

In Jimena de la Frontera (5 minutes by car) there are several small supermarkets and a wonderful little health food store called La Raiz. In the village is also an ATM and several small bars and restaurants. If you drive to the coast (about 30 minutes) there are more shops.
Yes, there is a weekly market in Jimena every Friday, in Estación there is a market on Wednesdays, where you can buy regional products. On Sunday there is a market in Sotogrande, where you can mainly find clothes and high-quality souvenirs. In our small shop you will also find Indian antique treasures, homemade products from Karl and much more...
